Project Client: Suzhou Port and Waterway Development Center
Location: Wuzhong District, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province
Area: 30km
Work Period: December 2023 – November 2024
Service to Scope: Waterway Digital Twin Platform Design and Implementation (Data Foundation, Digital Twin Applications, Data Integration, Digital Twin Engine, Digital Twin Rendering Server, etc.)
The Suzhou Waterway Digital Twin Pilot Project covers about 30 kilometers, including the Suzhou section of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, Su-Shen Outer and Inner Port Lines, and connecting waterways. It lays a strong foundation for province-wide rollout.
The project's challenge lies in creating a digital twin waterway engineering system to achieve effective monitoring of complex looped waterways, deliver full-scenario precision navigation assistance, construct an area-wide 3D digital foundation, and build a smart multi-service integration platform. The project creates a high-precision digital twin for a complex river network, enabling 3D, multi-scale, real-time monitoring and smart analysis. It tackles challenges in multi-service integration, scenario adaptation, and 2D-to-3D waterway management transition.
Leveraging core digital twin technologies and smart transportation expertise, the Delauney team built a precise 3D foundation for the full 30-kilometer loop. The platform integrates surface, underwater, and aerial visibility with early warning, overcoming technical barriers like large-scale 3D junction monitoring and continuous precision navigation support.
