Tenglong Avenue, a key transport artery in Changzhou, previously suffered from extensive management, inefficient maintenance, and poor travel experience, failing to meet the transport demands of the "Two Lakes" Innovation Zone and New Energy Capital under the "532" development strategy. By employing holographic sensing, digital twin, and AI technologies, the project established six demonstration scenarios including "Digital Twin Road" and "Citizen-Friendly Unblocked Road", achieving the goals of "ensuring smooth flow, enhancing safety, and optimizing experience". It pioneered full-range digital twin coverage over 23.9 kilometers.
The project faced challenges including multi-source heterogeneous data integration, complex coordination between elevated and ground roads, technical bottlenecks in retrofitting existing facilities, and balancing green/low-carbon requirements with functional integration.
Our design team developed a "cloud-edge-device" collaborative architecture using BIM+GIS digital twin technology, overcoming key technical hurdles such as radar-vision fused perception and AI road inspection. An innovative integrated multi-pole design resolved spatial conflicts, while the Zhi Xing Long Cheng platform enabled cross-department joint law enforcement. These measures enhanced road network resilience, reduced lifecycle costs, and fostered an intelligent connected industry ecosystem.
