This project develops Taicang's UAV testing infrastructure to address airspace governance gaps and industrial cluster demands, advancing low-altitude economy integration with advanced manufacturing.

The project confronts airspace management coordination complexities across military and civilian regulators while integrating 5G private networks, BeiDou positioning, and smart air traffic systems. Operational targets include expanding approved airspace from 21km² to 50km², constructing fixed-wing runways, and establishing sustainable "testing + training + commercial applications" service frameworks.Technical implementation involved multi-agency approvals for expanded flight corridors, deployment of low-altitude IoT networks combining 5G and collision avoidance systems, and operational models servicing enterprise R&D, pilot certification, and infrastructure inspection requirements.

Our cross-sector collaboration secured operational licensing, while digital twin platforms enable real-time airspace monitoring. Revenue streams from scenario-based service packages (emergency response training, agricultural drone operations) sustain infrastructure maintenance, positioning Taicang as Jiangsu’s benchmark for UAV industrial ecosystem development.
