The project located on Yanhu Road in Xisaishan Distrcit, adopts a community-centric approach to comprehensively enhance streetscape architecture and public spaces along the corridor. Rooted in the "Complete Neighborhood" urban philosophy, it cultivates inclusive multimodal streets that preserve local cultural heritage while manifesting artistic vibrancy and contemporary interpretations of Jing-Chu cultural identity. The initiative achieves a harmonious blend of historical continuity and modern urban aesthetics, redefining public space through socio-cultural activation.
Key challenges involve executing district-wide contextualized upgrades that balance three objectives: adaptive integration of Jing-Chu architectural motifs, development of customized storefront branding systems, and implementation of warm-orange color scheme urban design. Centered on the "Vibrant Orange Encounter" concept, the solution strategically employs unified orange-themed design elements across upgraded pedestrian networks and pocket parks, crafting a cohesive modern streetscape that balances cultural specificity with metropolitan openness.
Our team employs a "Site-Responsive Design + Systematic Regeneration" methodology combining architectural contextualization, landscape system integration, and cultural translation strategies. This multi-scalar intervention successfully reconciles streetscape revitalization with livelihood improvements, delivering optimized value realization within budgetary parameters through precise application of placemaking principles and smart material selections.
