Located at the intersection of Jinyuan North Road and Shanshui Avenue in Xuyi County, this project revitalizes a culinary plaza through lobster-themed "Kei" culture (local slang for crayfish enjoyment), transforming the dilapidated block into a vibrant "Xuyi Lobster·Kei Street" that blends heritage preservation with modern urban energy.

     Originally developed in 2007 but stalled due to developer-contractor debt disputes, the site became an urban eyesore by 2012. The 2024 renewal initiative addresses decades-old structural and legal complexities, repurposing the abandoned complex into a cultural-tourism hub featuring night markets, creative retail, and immersive culinary experiences.

     Our design team regenerated this underutilized asset through contextual urban analysis, consumer behavior studies, and strategic cultural-commercial integration, establishing a model for resolving historical urban defects while boosting regional economic vitality.
