Work Period: July 2020 – June 2021
Service to Scope:Planning Research
Our team adheres to the dual guidance of "problem" and "goal," proposing a research strategy of "external integration, internal cohesion, city shaping, and quality enhancement." External integration refers to connecting the Yangtze River Delta and the Nanjing metropolitan area through hubs and networks. Internal cohesion involves integrating the Longpao port, industry, urban, rural, and wetland areas through an integrated network and multi-modal coordination. City shaping means aligning with international standards by leveraging the new city’s unique characteristics to create a refined transportation network. Quality enhancement focuses on human-centric principles, highlighting intelligence and park features to build the new city’s IP.
The project explores a multi-modal transportation system for the new city under the context of modern transportation development. It addresses issues such as integrating multiple planning systems during the early stages of new city construction, establishing high-quality living spaces in a park city setting amid the modernization of transportation, developing smart transportation solutions for the new city within the governance framework of megacities, exploring green ecological transportation systems from the perspective of carbon peak and carbon neutrality, and utilizing mobile signaling data to construct intercity and intra-city transportation OD matrices.
