This plan conducts a comprehensive investigation of the parking situation in Nanjing's old residential areas, summarizes the existing parking issues, and proposes development goals for parking in these areas from the perspectives of development philosophy, parking space optimization methods, government incentive policies, and operational management experience. It explores potential parking space solutions suitable for old residential areas and, finally, provides corresponding recommendations at the levels of planning, construction, management, and operation.

     The plan introduces, for the first time, a comprehensive guide to parking space optimization for various scenarios in old residential areas, offering a reference for maximizing the utilization of existing internal spaces. It categorizes different types of old residential areas and formulates detailed implementation plans for parking facilities with practical depth tailored to each category.
