Service to Scope: Survey and Design

This project is a key component of the G8012 Guangzhou-Kunming Expressway Link (Mile-Chuxiong Section) and the Central Yunnan Metropolitan Ring. Upon completion, it will form a circular network centered around Kunming, connecting cities including Chuxiong, Yuxi, Honghe, and Qujing, significantly improving regional connectivity and promoting the integration of the Central Yunnan economic zone.

     Constructed in mountainous terrain with complex geology, the project faces challenges such as adverse ground conditions and karst topography, while also advancing green transportation initiatives. The area features significant elevation changes and widespread poor geology, including expansive soils, coal seams, red clay, karst formations, landslides, and collapses, necessitating sophisticated engineering solutions. 

     Our design team developed site-specific treatments for varying geological conditions, ensuring both technical reliability and cost-effectiveness. By leveraging Yunnan’s biodiversity, the project incorporates native plants to create ecologically integrated corridors and service areas, blending infrastructure with natural landscapes and local cultural elements. This approach supports the high-quality development of green transportation in Yunnan.
