The Gaoyou High-tech Zone General Airport is the first general airport project in Jiangsu Province approved and commenced since the 14th Five-Year Plan, classified as a regional A1-category production-service general airport with a Flight Zone Grade 2B and a runway 1000 meters long and 30 meters wide. 

     The project faces challenges in integrating low-altitude economy and civil aviation engineering characteristics, requiring effective third-party testing to ensure quality and safety.

     The airport primarily focuses on production operations and consumer services, key to supporting Yangzhou's aviation industry development, while also accommodating general aviation functions like emergency rescue, meteorological detection, urban firefighting, as well as aviation services such as test flights for general aircraft, and sales, custody, maintenance, and leasing of general aircraft. Upon completion, it will serve as a solid foundation for developing Gaoyou's low-altitude economy.
