Service to Scope: Automated Monitoring of Ship Lock Structure During Construction and Operation Periods
The Project responds to Jiangsu Province's "Water Transport Jiangsu" strategy through an expansion and renovation initiative to create the world's largest single-step inland ship lock, aiming to open up the river-sea intermodal transport channel from Southern and Northern Jiangsu to Ningbo Beilun Port and promote regional economic integration.
The project faces challenges in achieving whole-life cycle safety assurance for the super-large ship lock and establishing a dual-track digital monitoring system for intelligent monitoring. As the world's largest single-step inland ship lock, construction adjacent to Jianbi Bridge requires ensuring zero damage to existing structures and monitoring multiple complex indicators.
The team leveraged professional expertise to integrate manual monitoring via high-precision observation robots with automated monitoring using multi-source sensor arrays like fiber optic and MEMS in a dual-track approach, building a smart decision-making system that successfully overcame complex safety risks and redefined safety benchmarks for water transport engineering.
