Location: Taizhou, Zhenjiang · China

Work Period: 2006 – 2012

Service to Client: Feasibility Study, Investigation, Design

The bridge was opened to traffic on November 15, 2012, and designed to a dual six-lane expressway standard. The combined total length of its main river-crossing bridge and branch river bridge reaches 9.726 kilometers.

Its technical highlights feature a main bridge designed as a three-pylon, two-span steel box girder suspension bridge with a span arrangement of 390m + 1,080m + 1,080m + 390m. The central tower adopts an innovative longitudinal inverted-Y shape combined with a transverse portal frame, constructed from steel.

The project holds significant importance as the world's first three-pylon suspension bridge with kilometer-level spans. It represents a breakthrough beyond traditional twin-tower suspension bridge design and has provided valuable experience for the development of future multi-tower long-span suspension bridges.
