The bridge was opened to traffic on January 1, 2025. Designed to a dual six-lane expressway standard, its main bridge is a steel box girder suspension bridge with a main span of 1,560 meters, which spans the navigable waters of the Yangtze River in a single leap. It features a portal frame tower without a middle crossbeam, standing at a height of 241.5 meters, with a north approach bridge of 1,330 meters and a south approach bridge of 2,949.5 meters in length.
A key technical highlight is that the approach bridges utilize steel-concrete composite girders constructed with a high degree of industrialization. This method effectively reduces environmental disturbance during the bridge construction process.
Furthermore, this industrialized construction approach significantly improves both the overall project efficiency and the quality of the final structure.
