The G3 Tongling Yangtze River Highway-Railway Bridge project, currently under construction in Tongling City, Anhui Province, is designed to the integrated standard of "Four Railway Tracks + Six Expressway Lanes" arranged in a stacked cross-section. The upper deck carries the dual six-lane G3 Beijing-Taipei Expressway, while the lower deck accommodates four railway tracks, two of which are reserved for future intercity rail service. The total length of the project is 11.84 kilometers.
The main bridge of the project is a suspension bridge with a main span of 988 meters. This design integrates both highway and railway functions into a single structure across the Yangtze River.
This large-scale composite bridge represents a significant infrastructure project, combining major transportation pathways on different levels within its stacked cross-section to serve both road and rail traffic over the river.
