Client: Jiangsu Provincial Railway Office

Location: Jiangsu Province, China

Scale: 279 km

Work Period: Oct 2018 – May 2023

Service to Client: Project Management / Structural, Geotechnical, Civil, MEP and System Design

Spanning 279 kilometers, this high-speed rail line links Nanjing, Zhenjiang, Changzhou, Wuxi, and Suzhou before terminating at Taicang Station, where it interconnects with the Shanghai-Suzhou-Nantong Railway to ultimately reach Shanghai. The corridor serves eight strategic transportation hubs, including Nanjing South, Jurong, and Jintan stations, establishing critical infrastructure to advance high-quality development within the Yangtze River Delta region.

Integrated with environmental conservation measures, the project employs 40-meter-span box girders and specially designed bridge piers traversing Gehu Lake to minimize ecological disruption. As China’s first fully 5G-covered intelligent railway, it pioneers digital twin technologies for station operations and passenger services, delivering enhanced operational efficiency and traveler-centric innovations.

Functioning as a strategic supplement to the Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed Railway and Shanghai-Nanjing Intercity Railway, this corridor strengthens the Yangtze River Delta’s intercity rail network. Its multi-layered connectivity drives cross-regional industrial coordination and socioeconomic integration, positioning the rail line as a catalyst for metropolitan cluster development.
