This 79-kilometer line, which includes a 5.3-kilometer Yangtze Bridge section, begins at Taixing East Station on the Yancheng-Taizhou-Wuxi-Changzhou-Yixing High-Speed Railway. It crosses the Yangtze River via the world-class Changtai Rail-Road Bridge and terminates at Zhaiqiao Junction after passing through Changzhou High-tech Zone and South Changzhou stations, operating at speeds exceeding 250 kilometers per hour.
As a backbone corridor for Jiangsu's Yangtze River urban cluster, the line enables 20-minute commutes between Changzhou and Taizhou. It plays a pivotal role in reconfiguring Jiangsu's north-south development axis and accelerating the economic integration of central and southern Jiangsu.
Furthermore, the line facilitates cross-river talent and industry mobility while integrating high-speed rail networks, airport clusters, and metro systems. This delivers crucial strategic support for the broader "Yangtze Delta on Rails" initiative.
