This study proposes the development of the nation’s first super virtual rail transit line, with a total length of approximately 13 kilometers, featuring 17 stations—4 newly constructed and 13 renovated. The majority of the total investment is allocated to the procurement of new energy vehicles, while expenses for stations, track sections, turnaround facilities, and charging stations account for only 45%. By making full use of elevated and ground-level spaces, land utilization efficiency is improved. The line connects five major clusters in the central urban area, accelerating their coordinated development.
Our team has strengthened project approval and operational services, issuing the "Yancheng Urban Area Virtual Rail Transit Operational Service Rules (Trial)" and the "Yancheng Urban Area Virtual Rail Transit Passenger Regulations (Trial)" to provide a foundation for the sustainable development of SRT.
