The Zhongshan Western Ring Expressway is a key project in Guangdong Province, connecting the northern and southern parts of Zhongshan and playing a crucial role in promoting local economic development. It has improved the transportation environment, facilitated logistics, and shortened the distance to other cities in the Greater Bay Area.

     The project faces challenges such as scarce land resources, dense building coverage, tight schedules, and complex bridge structures. During construction supervision, it encountered technical difficulties, environmental coordination issues, and safety management challenges. Key problems included soft soil foundations, deep-water pile foundations, large-span bridge construction, intricate interchange structures, relocation compensation, underground pipeline coordination, construction safety risks, and shortages of materials and labor. 

      Our supervision team implemented measures such as dynamic design optimization, shortened construction timelines, and reduced forest land occupancy, establishing the project as a model "Green Highway." Smart dashboards were used to track material inventory, and AI systems were deployed to improve inspection efficiency. The project developed provincial-level construction methods, and its supervision experience was incorporated into provincial guidelines.
