Suqian Avenue, serving as the northern ring road of Suqian City, fulfills dual functions as both an arterial highway and an urban expressway. Against the backdrop where the southern ring (Beijing Road) and western ring (Yingbin Avenue) of Suqian's inner-ring expressway have already been upgraded for rapid transit, and the eastern ring (Jiudu Road) rapid transformation is underway, there is an urgent need to complete the expressway loop closure.
The project faces challenges in carrying out rapid transformation of existing facilities in a high seismic intensity zone, while utilizing prefabricated structures and constructing long-span steel-concrete composite girders. The project is located in a high-seismic-intensity zone, facing significant challenges in maintaining traffic flow during construction, complex prefabricated structural design requirements, and tight design timelines. Notably, the key node—the steel-concrete composite girder bridge spanning the Jinghang Grand Canal No. 2—requires large spans and careful consideration of aesthetic harmony with the existing bridge, posing substantial design challenges.
Through multiple rounds of design presentations, the design team demonstrated exceptional expertise, successfully completing the feasibility study, preliminary design, and construction drawing design within three months. This achievement has garnered widespread acclaim.
