Client: Jiangsu Xingwang Logistics Co., LTD
Location: Taizhou City, Jiangsu Province
Scale: Two 100000-ton bulk cargo berths
Work Period: March 2020 – November 2022(Completed in December 2023)
Service to Scope: Survey and Design of the port along the Yangtze River
This project, located in Jingjiang, Taizhou, involves the construction of a 100,000-dwt wharf featuring two 10,000-dwt bulk cargo berths with a total length of 693 meters. The designed annual throughput capacity is 13.6 million tons.
The project faces challenges including an extremely tight schedule, construction difficulties with prefabricated lower beams, and complexity in handling processes. To address the time constraints that traditional cast-in-place methods could not meet, prefabricated lower beam structures were adopted—the first application of such prefabricated components in a port project along the Yangtze River, significantly improving construction efficiency.
The handling process is highly complex, utilizing a belt conveyor system for horizontal transport. Innovations include electric deviation correction and belt cleaning devices, optimized hydraulic tensioning systems, and adjustable discharge point baffles. Upon completion, the project will outperform similar Yangt River facilities in productivity, automation, digitalization, intelligence, safety, environmental sustainability, and energy efficiency.
