Client: Taizhou Xianghuan City Investment Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd.
JV: The Eighth Engineering Co., Ltd. of Hunan Province
Location: The southeast corner of the intersection of Hongqi Avenue and Suhong Road in Taizhou City is the Taizhou City Resource Recycling and Utilization Base
Work Period: June 2022 - April 2025
Service to Scope: Engineering design and Construction
The project includes four components: comprehensive recycling of construction waste, pre-treatment of bulky waste, sortable recyclables, and temporary storage of toxic and hazardous waste. It is designed to process 1.5 million tons/year of construction waste (including 500,000 tons/year of renovation waste), 40 tons/day of bulky waste, 150 tons/day of recyclables, and 18 tons/year of hazardous materials.
Accurate implementation of waste sorting poses major challenges during project execution. The recycling of construction waste is particularly difficult, with key issues including how to transform it into reusable resources in a cost-effective and efficient manner while achieving reduction, harmless treatment, and recycling.
Our team proposes a logistics distribution center for recyclables to integrate scattered and disorderly urban recycling operations into a managed park, enabling shared urban infrastructure. The project involves high investment and handles multiple solid waste streams such as demolition, renovation, and bulky waste. It produces various recycled products including aggregate, manufactured sand, stabilized materials, and bricks. The system is equipped with an intelligent production control system for 24/7 monitoring and automated adjustments in response to operational changes. Environmental measures include spray cleaning, bag-type dust removal, noise reduction, and wastewater treatment facilities.
