The Changhu Irrigation District borders Donglian Town to the east, Shanwang Town to the north, Zhenxi Town to the west, and Yantan District of Zigong City to the south. With a designed irrigated area of 324,500 mu, it serves as a vital water source for both Weiyuan and Zigong.

     The project faced challenges due to the extensive scope of large-scale irrigation works, complex site conditions, and an extremely short design period. It comprises two key zones: a Smart Irrigation Area, which integrates video monitoring across the district enabling full visual oversight and connectivity with Sichuan’s smart water management platform, and an Ecological Irrigation Area, guided by the principle that "water is the source of life, essential to production and ecological balance," blending traditional waterscape charm with modern irrigation infrastructure and establishing a comprehensive ecological monitoring network.

     The development of the Changhu Irrigation District improves local agricultural irrigation conditions, enhances channel capacity, ensures safe water supply for residents and relocated communities, elevates living standards, and comprehensively promotes rural revitalization.
