Client: Jiangsu Provincial Railway Office
JV: China Railway Siyuan Survey and Design Group CO.,Ltd.
Location: Jiangsu Province,Nanjing City
Area: 278.145km
Work Period: 4 months
Service to Scope: Preparation of Soil and Water Conservation Plan
This newly constructed Southern Jiangsu Yangtze River Railway is a key project in Jiangsu Province's 13th Five-Year Plan and long-term railway network planning. Crossing 6,413 meters of Level-2 ecological control zones, it represents the group's first high-speed railway soil and water conservation plan formulation project, characterized by extended mileage, complex terrain, and high formulation difficulty.
The core challenge lies in balancing large-scale land disturbance from construction with ecological fragility under varying geographical and climatic conditions. The solution must effectively prevent soil erosion, protect ecosystem stability, while maintaining construction efficiency, cost control, long-term operational safety, and compliance with increasingly stringent environmental regulations.
The project team conducted multiple field surveys using drone aerial photography and remote sensing satellite interpretation. Through meticulous detail management and broad stakeholder consultation, the finalized plan provides robust guidance for soil conservation work, receiving the Outstanding Plan Award from the Jiangsu Society of Soil and Water Conservation.
