Service to Scope: Saline-Alkali Land Improvement Construction

Saline-alkali land, often deemed barren for agriculture due to high soil salinity and ecological fragility, now carries strategic significance for China's food security. As the group’s first comprehensive saline-alkali land treatment project, it covers four major components: infrastructure enhancement, comprehensive land improvement, smart monitoring and management, and specialty industry development. This requires full integration of the group’s multidisciplinary expertise in environmental protection, water resources, smart technologies, surveying, landscaping, and construction—showcasing its advanced comprehensive technical capabilities.

The main challenge lies in the project’s fast-paced launch from the outset. Within a very tight schedule, tasks such as facility upgrades, subsurface drainage, and soil amendment must be completed. The team needs to coordinate multiple construction units, provide thorough design clarification, and make design adjustments based on project needs and site conditions to ensure smooth, efficient, and healthy progress.

To tackle high salinity and tidal erosion, the team will apply techniques such as subsurface drainage and salt-tolerant soil amendments, aiming to establish a new production base for vegetable and grain supply in the Yangtze River Delta urban cluster. After completion, the project will revitalize thousands of acres of saline-alkali land, offering a replicable and scalable model—the “Jiangsu Model”—for ecologically vulnerable coastal regions.
