This project enhances Fangchenggang's coastal resilience against marine disasters, improves bay hydrodynamic exchange capacity, increases nearshore wetland areas, and upgrades the ecological environment through shoreline remediation, ecological restoration of seawalls, mangrove rehabilitation, vegetative buffer zones establishment, beach restoration, and treatment of direct sea discharge pollution sources. These efforts form a coastal ecological disaster mitigation spatial system supporting high-quality marine economic development.
The project addresses complex challenges across multiple domains including shoreline remediation, seawall ecological restoration, and mangrove rehabilitation. Adhering to natural restoration and protection priority principles, it comprehensively improves ecosystem stability and integrity through integrated marine, island, and coastal zone restoration while coordinating adjacent marine conservation efforts.
Leveraging interdisciplinary expertise in marine, water transport, water resources, and ecological engineering, this initiative establishes an exemplary marine ecological restoration project that provides ecological security assurance for sustainable marine economy development.
